Relton RB-6 - 3/8x8 Rebar Cutter
"Relton RB-6 3/8x8 rebar cutter provides the answer to drilling through rebar embedded in concrete without having to relocate the hole
RB-6 is a 1/2"" straight-shanked bit. (SRB-6 is SDS+ shank)
Simple as 1-2-3
1) When rebar is encountered while drilling with a rotary hammer and carbide hammer bit, immediately stop the hammer and remove bit from hole
2) Mount the rotary rebar cutter in a standard 1/2"" chuck drill motor (or SDS+ rotary hammer with selector in rotary-only position if using SRB-6); insert the rotary rebar into the hole and drill through the embedded rebar
Remove the rotary rebar cutter after the rebar has been drilled completely through, and finish drilling the hole with the rotary hammer and hammer bit
This is a one-piece system: Shanks are not removable
